Kent Pearl is one of the top model, which I prefer over others in its price range. Disclaimer: the intent of this article is to make you aware of what to expect in a water purifier, particularly a RO (Reverse Osmosis) type. By no means this is a recommendation of any sort. Do your bit of research before making a choice. Then talk about what to look for before buying a RO purifier, how RO purifier works, what is it made of, stages of filtration, service, maintenance and spares. Review model : PEARL. Detachable storage tank for easy cleaning. Liters storage capacity. Computer Controlled Operation with Filter Change Alarm & UV Fail Alarm.***Purification Capacity - 1. Ltrs/Hour (at room temperature and 7. PPM of water) *******Other features claimed is a . Just a marketing gimmick! After about a year or so of use the alarms go ! I had new filter spares installed at about 1. ON! Automatic start up when water level is low and automatic stop when full. Can be placed on table or put on the wall. Elegant look. 1/4 inch quick fit connectors, which is simple to connect and disconnect, in case you want to do some maintenance yourself or clean the pre- filter. This purifier will go on for more than a year without any service or filter spare replacement if TDS of your water is < 5. PPM and or the usage is minimal. Cons: The only negative about Kent or any other manufacturer for that matter? Before you buy a RO water purifier: Choose your brand. A good brand will have quality parts and reliable performance. Make sure your choice of purifier must have a RO membrane, UV and TDS control. RO purifiers work under pressure, so some purifier may not even start when the pressure is below a minimum requirement. Also when you are installing your purifier, insist the service engineer to open up the RO membrane housing and visually check the RO membrane side wall it should look white like new! A pre- filter is an external attachment that filters suspended particles like sand, dirt & rust etc present in the inlet water. This also increases the service life of the filters. The cartridge inside its housing collects the suspended particles. Sediment filter and Carbon filter needs to be changed every 1. A RO membrane should last about 2 - 3 years, again this depends on the usage, the quality of inlet water and the quality of the RO membrane itself. Reject water has a high concentration of salts and is not suitable for drinking . Reject water keeps flowing all the time when the purifier is working. Keep a check on TDS of your drinking water atleast once in a month. If the TDS of the inlet water has gone up (assuming you buy water from different sources) more likely the TDS of your purified water would have gone up as well. Please read on to know more about how the quality of your water affects the life of the Purifier. This may also serve as a guide to choosing your water purifier. You should know this! You probably know water as either soft water ( municipal tap water) or hard water (well, bore well)but there is one more thing you need to know, TDS of water. TDS is Total Dissolved Solids in the water and is measured in PPM (parts per million or ml/Liter)It is expressed as a number eg 7. PPM. To name a few dissolved substances; calcium, magnesium, sodium, phosphor, nitrates, chlorine. There are also bacteria and viruses that can cause illness and must be removed. The common UV filters you know, only removes suspended particles like sand and dust. Along with the RO membrane, a good purifiers will also have a UF membrane (UF - Ultra Filtration membrane) that just like the RO membrane filters out germs but allows only useful minerals to pass through; this water is then mixed with RO membrane output water to add back minerals. A TDS meter can tell how much useful minerals have been added back. Some purifiers are equipped with a mineral cartridge in the final stages to add more minerals and these will be marketed as mineral RO purifier just to make a few extra bucks! Please note, the minerals in question are found in water only in trace (very less) amount. Pure RO water will be crisper with no taste. Here is a quick look at the TDS scale. The service engineer will usually set the TDS of your water purifier anywhere between 5. Bottled water usually have a TDS set at ~2. Bottled mineral water will have a TDS around 2. This sound a lot but these are essential salts. Fun test : requirements; RO water purifier, a cup, TDS meter and common salt. Measure the TDS! Filtration Stages: I am listing the most basic and important stages required. Besides these various components there are others that make up you RO water purifier; Booster pump; used to boost the inlet water pressure. RO membrane works under pressure because you have to force water through the tiny pores in the membrane that we talked about earlier. Pressure Switch; used to turn on the booster pump only when there is minimum working inlet water pressure. Solenoid valve; used between pre- carbon filter and RO membrane inlet, solenoid valve shuts off water inlet to the RO membrane when inlet water pressure is low and or the tank is full. Call service around 5th month and 1. Call service if you feel the drinking water output has slowed down. Don't forget to get your warranty stamped. Always buy from a authorised dealer. The guy who installs will not show up again. His target is to install the thing. He wouldn't care to suggest you things like a pre- filter or a water pressure booster when its most needed. A pre- filter is optional, installation will go through even without it. Water pressure, is a bit less on the top floor of the house. An inlet valve will usually be installed on the inlet water pipe. Good Bye! Usually 9/1. He seems to know only as much required to get your water purifier working. Recall that i mentioned about having the service engineer reach your place early in the day? That's because you buy more time for him, just in case he finds that a spare is not available in his service kit right away and it has to be procured from a warehouse located else where. They usually don't show up and you end up calling them again. Beware! A service engineer in a hurry might bypass faulty parts compromising the very purpose of your water purifier. Sometimes they replace faulty parts with used spares, they do this usually during the warranty period since they have to bear the cost of spares. Spares are usually sold at unreasonably high cost! Go for a purifier with 1/4. You can buy then online for less price! These spares will just work as good as the so claimed genuine ones if not better. That's all I have to say. Hope this was useful. Please share and educate people you care for. Thanks Mukesh for sending these inupdate: Nov 3. Don't buy purifiers with fixed and opaque tanks.. It will mess with you. At the deep emotional level, this movie will be extremely disturbing to anyone that gives it a chance. This is the type of movie that will stick with you for days, if not weeks. You will be driving to work days after watching it, see a Family walking down the street and wonder what secrets and personal issues they have solely because of this movie. I watched this movie almost 3 weeks ago, and I still find myself disturbed by it. It’s not due to gore however. Although I am confident in saying that even self-proclaimed horror/slasher film buffs will find a few scenes within “Found” extremely hard to watch. The gore isn’t overdone or even a focus of the movie at all. When it is done, it is done very very well and is very very disturbing. I never personally get grossed out by film gore. Ever. However in one scene in particular, I seriously paused the film and sat there by myself wondering if I even wanted to continue watching the movie at all. The scenes in which gore isn’t involved at all are just as, if not more disturbing than the gory scenes. Watching a 12 year old boy having to face such horrific realizations, all the while dealing with being bullied and having absent parents is disturbing in and of itself. The acting would be the only reason this film didn’t receive a perfect score of 10 from me. As much as I loved this movie and wish this wasn’t the case, the acting by the Father is horrible. Luckily for us he doesn’t spend more than 2 minutes on screen at a time, and only has a few lines of dialogue throughout the movie. To sum this up, I’m going to talk about the final 8 or so minutes of this movie(Without spoilers of course). The final 8 minutes of this movie is by far the single most disturbing piece of film I have ever seen, and hope to never see again. Don’t get me wrong, I love this movie. The final scene is just… It’s indescribably horrific and dark. I genuinely hope I don’t watch a movie with a scene that dark in it again for as long as I live. Go watch it, it’s an amazing accomplishment in the World of film. However, consider this review a warning. But these days, he suggests, that hearth is cold and empty. Benjamin notes that death has disappeared from contemporary life, safely shuffled away to the hospital, the morgue, the undertaker. Instead of the news of death, there is just news. I sometimes think that the old leather couch Tolstoy kept in his study would be a good symbol of the mortal pulse that Benjamin was talking about. Total Recall 2070 is a science fiction television series first broadcast in 1999 on the Canadian television channel CHCH-TV and later the same year on the American. She died when he was nearly two years old. Most of his thirteen children. Was it not possible that one day he might lie on that same piece of furniture, and die there? It would be hard to write in such a study while oblivious of death as a life rhythm, of life as a death cycle. A fair amount of contemporary prose seems to have been written by people who, like Tolstoy. Are there serious contemporary writers who remind us of our mortality? The forty- three- year- old Norwegian novelist Karl Ove Knausgaard is certainly one. His long, intense, and vital book . The Hitlerian title (. One is with the author. The more pervasive struggle is with death itself, in which writing is both weapon and battlefield. Writing promises to rescue moments from the march of time, but serious writing also lays bare, examines, dramatizes. He refers to a previous marriage, and to . Were I to portray this with a visual image it would have to be that of a boat in a lock: life is slowly and ineluctably raised by time seeping in from all sides. Apart from the details, everything is always the same. And with every passing day the desire grows for the moment when life will reach the top, for the moment when the sluice gates open and life finally moves on. At the same time I see that precisely this repetitiveness, this enclosedness, this unchangingness is necessary, it protects me. On the few occasions I have left it, all the old ills return. So he cherishes the stability and the repetitive banality of his existence, but he chafes at these things, too, because . He feels that he is racing against time, that it is slipping away from him, . And that will be that. In twenty- five years a third of them would be dead, in fifty years two- thirds, in a hundred all of them. And what would they leave behind, what had their lives been worth? On the one hand, it is all around us, as pictures and horrifying news. On the other hand, actual death, . They always say the same, it was absolutely unreal, even though what they mean is the opposite. But we no longer live in that reality. For us everything has been turned on its head, for us the real is unreal, the unreal real. It was the summer of 1. July afternoon, in a chapel at Kristiansand. There is a flatness and a prolixity to the prose; the long sentences have about them an almost careless avant- gardism, with their conversational additions and splayed run- ons. The writer seems not to be selecting or shaping anything, or even pausing to draw breath. There is, perhaps, something a little gauche in his confessional volubility. But there is also a simplicity, an openness, and an innocence in his relation to life, and thus in his relation to the reader. Where many contemporary writers would reflexively turn to irony, Knausgaard is intense and utterly honest, unafraid to voice universal anxieties, unafraid to appear na. Although his sentences are long and loose, they are not cutely or aimlessly digressive: truth is repeatedly being struck at, not chatted up. Above all, this is a kind of writing that accommodates variety. As in Proust, we get surprising and vivid shifts when we move from reflection to example (that quick narrowing, from thinking about the sociology of death to an actual corpse, the author. There is something ceaselessly compelling about Knausgaard. This striking readability has something to do with the unconventionality of . In addition to Proust. Closer to home, in the same year that Knausgaard published . Knausgaard seems unable to leave anything out. In interviews, he has said that almost ten years after the death of his father, and with two novels to his name, he felt compelled to unburden himself of his past, of all his family stories, to get everything about his life on paper. He wrote rapidly, between five and twenty pages a day, and he ends the sixth volume of his autobiography (not yet translated into English) with the relieved declaration, as if now self- annulled, . As a teen- ager, Knausgaard is no Malte Laurids Brigge. Most writers would get through this banality as quickly as possible, but not Knausgaard. A description of a New Year. When Karl tells us about how much he liked playing the guitar, and how much he liked the equipment, he lists all of it: I also loved all the accessories guitar- playing involved, the fuzz box, the chorus pedal, the leads, the plugs, the plectrums, and the small packets of strings, the bottleneck, the capo, the lined guitar case and all its small compartments. I loved the brand names: Gibson, Fender, Hagstr. Dark brown, almost like wood, the tea rose inside the white cup. A few leaves swirled and floated up, the others lay like a black mat at the bottom. I added milk, three teaspoons of sugar, stirred, waited until the leaves had settled on the bottom, and drank. Mmm. Everything is tagged, logged, diligently invoiced: ? And if we must have hundreds of pages of autopsied minutiae, then let them be as well written as the last two enormous volumes in Adam Mars- Jones. Again, the banality is so extreme that it turns into its opposite, and becomes distinctive, curious in its radical transparency. The need for totality that brings pages about playing the guitar, about drinking tea, about wearing his Doc Martens and listening to his Walkman, about how his brother, Yngve, has always thought the music of Queen unfairly underestimated, about the name of the band that he later formed with his brother (named, rather wonderfully, Kafkatrakterne), also brings superb, lingering, celestial passages, like the one in which Knausgaard cannot sleep, and paces his apartment. While his heavily pregnant wife, Linda, is in bed, he looks out the window, and sees a group of people standing outside a concert hall; watches the police raid a porn video store farther down the street; talks to his wife (who has woken up); and then flicks through a book of Constable paintings. And suddenly he is in tears, arrested by . The feeling of beauty. The feeling of presence. A desire to be inside the inexhaustibility. Yes, yes, yes, I heard. But what was it I had said yes to? This creates a constant atmosphere of rivalry and sensitivities between Benghazi and Tripoli, and between Cyrenaica and Tripolitania. The population was 6. Benghazi was taken by Gaddafi opponents on 2. February, who founded the National Transitional Council. Euesperides was most likely founded by people from Cyrene or Barce, which was located on the edge of a lagoon which opened from the sea. At the time, this area may have been deep enough to receive small sailing vessels. The name was attributed to the fertility of the neighborhood, which gave rise to the mythological associations of the garden of the Hesperides. BC, where it is stated that the punitive force sent by the satrap of Egypt conquered Cyrenaica as far west as Euesperides. One side of those coins has an engraving of Delphi. The other side is an engraving of a silphium plant, once the symbol of trade from Cyrenaica because of its use as a rich seasoning and as a medicine. The coinage suggests that the city must have enjoyed some autonomy from Cyrene in the early 5th century BC, when the issues of Euesperides had their own types with the legend EU(ES), distinct from those of Cyrene. The city was in hostile territory and was surrounded by inhospitable tribes. The Greek historian Thucydides mentions a siege of the city in 4. BC, by Libyans who were probably the Nasamones: Euesperides was saved by the unexpected arrival of the Spartan general Gylippus and his fleet, who were blown to Libya by contrary winds on their way to Sicily. The king used his chariot victory at the Pythian Games of 4. BC to attract new settlers to Euesperides, where Arcesilaus hoped to create a safe refuge for himself against the resentment of the people of Cyrene. This proved ineffective, since when the king fled to Euesperides during the anticipated revolution (around 4. BC), he was assassinated, thus terminating the almost 2. An inscription found there and dated around the middle of the 4th century BC states that the city had a constitution similar to that of Cyrene, with a board of chief magistrates (ephors) and a council of elders (gerontes). Later in the 4th century BC, during the unsettled period which followed Alexander's death, the city backed the losing side in a revolt by the Spartan adventurer Thibron; trying to create an empire for himself, he was defeated by the Cyreneans and their allies. After the marriage around the middle of the 3rd century BC of Ptolemy III to Berenice, daughter of the Cyrenean Governor Magas, many Cyrenaican cities were renamed to mark the occasion. Euesperides became Berenice and the change of name also involved a relocation. Its desertion was probably due to the silting up of the lagoons; Berenice, the place they moved to, lies underneath Benghazi's modern city centre. It will be updated again for the Champion System prior to Update 6. Build Overview. This is the Reaver Sorcerer, a Stamina- based Sorcerer DPS build that is a highly mobile skirmisher capable of dealing high sustained damage in both melee and ranged combat. Strengths of the Reaver build include: Excellent Health sustain in. Dual Wield is preferred to Two- Handed largely for it’s passive abilities and Critical Chance potential. While Executioner is a superior execute to Steel Tornado, Dual Wield complements Bow better. Try to keep this up 1. The snare is very useful in Pv. P. Steel Tornado. Possibly the game’s best instant- cast Ao. E (including a built- in execute) that synergizes extremely well with Caltrops and Scorched Earth. Boundless Storm. An incredible utility ability that brings so much to the table. While it doesn’t deal killer DPS, it’s situationally valuable for survival, movement speed, and frequent disintigration chances against low health bosses. Streak (Rotates)The fourth slot on your hotbar is a rotating “utility” slot. For Pv. P and soloing I prefer Streak which combos very well with Rending Slashes and weapon swap into Bow. For Pv. E encounters, Evil Hunter, Lightning Flood, or Daedric Minefield are all useful situational options. Critical Surge. This ability forms the backbone for the build, offering a substantial increase in Weapon Power as well as the all- important self- healing that makes the Reaver a formidable sustain machine. While Power Surge requires less maintenance, the self- healing is really irreplacable. Flawless Dawnbreaker. This ultimate is primarily used for the passive increase to damage of Weapon Attacks, although its low cost and damage scaling makes it a viable activated ability in situations with multiple targets given Sorcerer’s lack of obvious DPS ultimates. Typical Combat Rotation. Always open each fight with a pre- buff of Critical Surge and a Focused Aim sneak attack. For single- target encounters, this build relies on maintaining multiple damage- over- time abilities, Critical Surge, while looking for opportunities to contribute high burst. This build uses a bread and butter 1. Scorched Earth (1. Use a Critical potions when you are starting a fresh rotation. Poison Injection (1. Focused Aim. Focused Aim. Focused Aim. Before the 1st rotation and alternating every other set thereafter refresh Critical Surge (lasts 2. Before the 1st rotation and before every 3rd set refresh Razor Caltrops (lasts 3. If you find yourself in melee range in- between rotations, it is highly advisable to quickly weapon swap and apply Rending Slashes to your target. This can complicate your timing slightly, but provides excellent DPS contribution, ultimate generation, and additional proc chances. For Ao. E encounters, the Reaver takes advantage of Dual Wield heavily. The above rules regarding Critical Surge and Razor Caltrops still apply in the Ao. E context. A standard Ao. E rotation would look like the following: Scorched Earth (1. Weapon swap while arrows are in the air. Steel Tornado – Stand in the middle of your freshly dropped Scorched Earth. Steel Tornado. Steel Tornado. Steel Tornado. Rinse and repeat this Ao. E rotation, applying Flawless Dawnbreakers as they become available and refreshing Critical Surge and Caltrops as needed. If enemies are near death, consider activating Boundless Storm for chances at Disintigration procs. Recommended Equipment. Equipping the Reaver is critically important for the success of the build. As mentioned previously, one of the big weaknesses of this setup is a high level of gear dependency in order to make this build viable for endgame DPS. There are several item sets that are very attractive for this build, some of the best options include: The Vicious Serpent (Tier 2 Trials Armor) – The vastly improved version of the Quick Serpent set, this is an entire replacement for the previous set and should absolutely be worn if possible. Hunding’s Rage (Crafted Weapons/Armor) – Hunding’s Rage is the best player crafted set available to the Reaver Build. Critical Chance as well as a large chunk of Weapon Power makes this a must use unless you have access to 5 pieces of Vicious Serpent. Viper’s Sting (Dropped Dagger/Armor/Amulet) – This set drops in Sanctum Ophidia at VR1. Bound on Equip, so it can frequently be purchased from large guild stores. It offers 8% crit and a 5- piece proc which adds a pretty consistent 2. DPS in single target fights. The Quick Serpent (Tier 1 Trials Armor) – Adds Critical Chance and Stamina, two great stats. The 5 piece bonus isn’t worth the investment, however, so it’s better to stop at 3 or 4 pieces. Nerien’eth (Undaunted Helm/Shoulders) – The Lich Crystal proc works very well with this build because of the high number of simultaneous damage sources. Caltrops, Scorched Earth, Poison Injection, and Rending Slashes are all hitting simultaneously and allow the Lich Crystal to proc often enough to justify it’s use. The Lich Crystal typically ranges anywhere between 2. DPS depending on the abundance of enemies in the area. The Master’s Dagger – Passive Weapon Damage as well as increased Do. T damage on one of your staple abilities makes this a good weapon to use. Since Dual Wield has one extra equipment slot over Bow, using this one- piece weapon set works well with swapping between hotbars and not breaking any sets. The Master’s Bow – Grants an excellent bonus to damage dealt against targets affected by your Poison Injection. Poisonous Serpent / Berserking Yokeda (rings and amulet) – These sets are good to use for the 2 piece Critical Chance bonus, but don’t be fooled by the 3 piece on the Bow set, it only contributes around 5 DPS in prolonged fights. Itemization can be a puzzle given all of the options that are available, the most important thing is that you use the best sets available to your character and find a way to fill in the gaps with useful bonuses. A reasonable goal to aim for with equipment is something resembling the following setup (which does not use Sanctum Ophidia gear). If you have access to Medium Armor from the Serpent Trial, you should use that set instead of the Nerien’eth and Viper pieces. Armor. Item. Trait. Glyph. Helm. Nerien’eth’s Helmet. Infused (Random)Health. Shoulders. Nerien’eth’s Arm Cops. Divines (Random)Stamina. Chest. Hunding’s Rage. Infused. Health. Gloves. Hunding’s Rage. Divines. Stamina. Belt. Hunding’s Rage. Divines.
